Paradise Could Be Lost!

On September 24th 2012, Yap Islands recently had billionaire investors sign a contract with the Yapese government, to allow development of most of the island into a mini Las Vegas.  Plans are for ten high-rise mega hotel/casinos to be built and jungles to be paved away for golf courses.

This will forever change the islands and the people who live there.  Currently many Yapese live off the land fishing, gardening, and using medicines from the jungles.  With the new expanse of tourism Yapese cultural could be lost forever.

We are in pre-production and actively seeking funding right now to get back to the islands.  Thank you to all our supporters from our Indiegogo fundraiser!   Watch our teaser at:

Would you happen to have any flimay photo’s that were taken in Sterling that you would be willing to share? I live in Sterling and am interested in the history. Any photo’s that also include buildings are of interest.I remember your Aunt Francis and Uncle Dugan and Butch, they lived down the road from me when I was growing up.
