Now more than ever we need your help! Billionaire developers just signed another contract on September 24th 2012 to turn the islands into a mini Las Vegas. They are planning on building Ten mega hotel/casinos, and paving down the jungle to make way for golf courses and industrial farms. The island and the people of Yap will become dependent on the outside world if the development plan is produced.
Globalization was a theoretical threat when we first started filming, but now it is real and will change the people and the islands of Yap forever. Please help us support Yap Islands and preserve their ancient culture while it is still thriving.
