let us not let go…

Thank you all so much for your continued support for our documentary.

A wise Yapese man said…

I have been to Hawaii

and I saw homeless people,

I was in Guam
and I saw homeless people,

I was in China
and I saw homeless people,

I was in the Philippines
and I saw homeless people…

but when I was in Palau,

Pohnpei,
Chuuk,
and Kosrae
I did not see anyone who is homeless…

so think about it,

we are trying to get into the list of places that you can find homeless people?

We were given something,

our land,
our heritage, and
our culture…

let us not let go of it.

Paradise Could Be Lost!

On September 24th 2012, Yap Islands recently had billionaire investors sign a contract with the Yapese government, to allow development of most of the island into a mini Las Vegas.  Plans are for ten high-rise mega hotel/casinos to be built and jungles to be paved away for golf courses.

This will forever change the islands and the people who live there.  Currently many Yapese live off the land fishing, gardening, and using medicines from the jungles.  With the new expanse of tourism Yapese cultural could be lost forever.

We are in pre-production and actively seeking funding right now to get back to the islands.  Thank you to all our supporters from our Indiegogo fundraiser!   Watch our teaser at:
